The Minimalist Wardrobe Guide.

Hello lovely readers <3

How are you doing today? I hope you are happy & well, making the most of your time!

It's almost halfway through the summer and I can't believe how quickly time is passing. This is year has been a wild one, to say the least. I think life is changing dramatically for many people. This time has been certainly a time of reflection. At least it has for me, has it been for you?

As we step into our new world & our new normal, here is a message I feel compelled to shareminimalism. Doing more with less. How can we take some time to let go of what we no longer need and invest in what truly matters? Minimalism comes in all forms, it's a way of life that lives beyond only material things. It becomes a part of who you & a guide to important decisions in your life.

For today's community blog, I am so happy to introduce to you a woman who embodies minimalism in all aspects of her lifeOLGA. She is the definition of quality over quantity. I admire her a lot for that because this mindset takes patience & time. She doesn't buy things, she invests in them. Her wardrobe consists of 50 timeless, quality pieces(without accessories), that all goes together. This is a completely different approach the normal buying. It is about spending time researching on what's worth having (material or not) & ultimately what will bring the most fulfilment in all aspects of your life.

For you to get a better idea on how this concept shows up in her life & the benefits you could aspire for yours, I interviewed her online for the blog and here is our little interview:

How did the journey of self-discovery look like for you? It touches all parts of my life. Who am I? What do I do in my life? Where do I live? What do I eat? Which whom I communicate? I think it’s important to ask and answer these questions from time to time. There is always a choice.

What’s been a life-changing moment that’s led to the person you are today? I value all moments of my life, I believe that all types of experience from good to bad and our attitude to them make an impact o our life.

What are your main wardrobe principles?

Classical timeless items out of seasonal trends. Neutral colors that fit with each other and are a perfect background for accessories. High quality / mainly natural fabrics. Comfortable pieces with the perfect fit.

What does minimalism mean for you? What role does it play in your daily life? To be surrounded by positive people and things which make me happy. If we talk about materialistic things, they must be functional and/or aesthetic. Minimalism is a style of living. How do you benefit most from taking a minimalist approach to your wardrobe? And your life? It brought so much more happiness and joy in my life. I think less about objects, I enjoy every moment of my life.

Many people struggle to find their own style, what advice would have for someone looking to find their own? First of all, you should understand who you are and what message you would like to transmit via your style. Harmony with yourself is very important as well. Otherwise, you will continue to purchase stuff following your emotions. Be patient: if you want to do it well, it takes time. What do you think about before getting dressed every day? What helps you decide what to wear? Actually I always know what I will wear. It depends on the situation, the weather, and my mood.

What is your closet superhero, a piece that you wear over & over again? It’s so difficult to pick up one piece as I really love everything. I would name black pullover, trench, white shirt, blazer & white trainers.

What’s a personality trait that you’ve always had?

Attention to detail. What’s your favorite thing about fashion? « Fashion passes and style remains » Coco Chanel.

That's that guys! I am so excited that she got to share all this wisdom with you.

I would recommend joining her community or her social media @intellectualminimalist, she is full of tips & knowledge on everything you need to know about a minimalist wardrobe. If you are curious about this concept, I would definitely begin there.

I hope you've enjoyed this blog post if you have any questions and want to know more, please feel free to reach out, I would be more than happy to assist you in your journey.

With love,
